What Are Clamshell and Blister Packaging?
Pro-Pak Associates engineers and supplies custom clamshell and blister packaging for product companies, engineers and purchasing teams. Since 1996, we have helped customers design and deliver thermoformed packaging that protects their product, shows it off and holds up from the production line to the retail shelf.
Both are thermoformed plastic packaging: a sheet of plastic is heated, formed to a three-dimensional shape, then trimmed and finished. A blister is a formed cavity, either generic or custom designed around your product, that is typically sealed to a printed card. A clamshell is a hinged, two-sided package that closes around the product. Both offer tamper-evident protection that a plain printed box cannot.

Materials
We help you select the material that fits your product and application, including PET and FDA-approved recycled PET for non-sterile applications, PVC and HIPS. PETG and anti-static materials are also available for applications that need them.
